Priya is a 2014 graduate of the Massage Therapy Program at Vancouver Career College and is the 3rd place winner of the August 2014 Clinical Case Report Awards by Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). Priya is passionate about how the body heals itself and how it functions in the presence of diverse stressors. She believes that supporting the body’s ability can restore its strength and balance in areas of injury and pain.

To meet each patient’s individual needs, Priya blends a diverse set of modalities and techniques including but not limited to: a thorough assessment, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release (MFR), joint mobilization technique, and muscle energy technique (MET). Priya has also taken a course with Rock Tape for fascial taping. Taping helps stabilize joints and also aids in reducing pain.

Gavin Kc. Lau, RMT is a 2014 graduate of Massage Therapy Program of Vancouver Career College and is the 2nd place winner of the August 2014 Clinical Case Report Awards by Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). His article “Therapeutic and intra-oral massage for treatment of post unilateral sagittal split osteotomy temporomandibular joint dysfunction: a case study” has been published and can be viewed on RMTBC’s website. Gavin believes in the natural healing power of the human body and this is what inspired him to become a Registered Massage Therapist. Massage therapy facilitates and hastens the healing process in the body and restores the body back to optimal functionality. With a background in national competitive cycling, he learned that rehabilitating injuries is a long and demanding process and that injury prevention can make one’s life easier and much more successful. Gavin is fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese, and is excited to serve the communities with his lingual talents. Gavin has experience of treating different population ranging paediatrics to geriatrics, numerous conditions such as TMJ dysfunction, HIV, diabetes, disc herniation, dislocation, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, pregnancy, tendon rupture, various overuse injuries, etc.. As a member of Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA), he is pursuing to be a certified sport massage therapist in order to participate in future national and major sport events in Canada. When Gavin takes a break from his busy life, you can find him making himself a cup of latte in a cozy neighborhood café, drawing fascinating and creative pictures with his pastels, or enjoying the tranquil scenery of Vancouver on the top of some mountains with his road bike.
